Wedding Ceremony

The heart of the Wedding is the ceremony. The couple’s loved ones are gathered together to witness the wedding vows that joins the couple in matrimony. A wedding is one of life’s most joyous occasions and many guests are honored to have shared in the special moment.

After deciding how to get married you must also decide where to have your wedding ceremony. The traditional location to get married is in a church or you might prefer an outdoor wedding on the beach, by a waterfall or in a botanical garden. The advantage of an outdoor ceremony is that mother nature provides most of the wedding ceremony decorations.

You can decide to have a religious wedding ceremony which often accentuates the spiritual side of marriage and the joining of two souls or a non-religious wedding ceremony which does not mention religion but maintains the same themes of love, trust and commitment.

Lastly, you can decide to include additional rituals during the ceremony such as a unity candle which is popular for its symbolism or you can honor past loved ones during the wedding ceremony.

Wedding Ceremony Decorations

If the ceremony sets the tone of the wedding then the decorations help set the tone for the ceremony. When you visualize your wedding chances are you imagine a beautifully decorated church or ceremony area and a dramatic reception room. That’s where the wedding ceremony decorations come in. The ceremony site will determine the amount and lavishness of the decorations. A spectacular church with stained glass windows, rich, deep wood and elegant candelabras will require little decoration. Other churches are simpler and may require an extra decorative touch.

The easiest way to decorate a ceremony site is through flowers, bows and candles. Visualize a beautifully decorated church with pew arrangements or pew bows with tulle, floral arrangements and candelabras on either side of the altar or floral arrangements with candles on pedestals along the aisle and all archways decorated with tulle and flowers and an aisle runner. If you’re not having the wedding ceremony in a church there are plenty of other decoration options. Use the ceremony site for ideas.

Wedding Reception Decorations

Wedding receptions are your "thank you" to your guests for sharing your special day and you will want your reception to be memorable. The decorations you choose for your wedding reception gives it your own unique touch.

The decorations will create the mood or the theme you would like to portray - Casual, Classy, Whimsical or Fun! Your budget plays an important role in the decorations that you use, so plan your budget with this in mind. It is also wise to take photos of the reception area to use as a blue print far in the planning and purchasing of decorations.
